Kent
Basnight was born and raised in Chesapeake,
Virginia. He began assisting his father
mowing lawns at a very early age on
various family-owned properties. At
the age of 15 he purchased a business
license from the City of Chesapeake
and officially began his own business.
After more than twenty years in business,
Kent is now a Class A Contractor and
Category Three Pesticide Applicator.
He is also a member of PLANET (Professional
Landcare Network), the Virginia Nurserymen's
Association, Tidewater Builder's Association,
and the Better Business Bureau; operating
in two states under two corporations.
As is evident, his business has grown
quite a bit since Kent was an ambitious
teenager just starting his career.
