After
concluding the initial, consultation meeting with
the client, the next step for us is to go to the drawing
board for the actual design phase. As with painting,
sculpture, drawing, or other, similar visual arts,
Landscape Design is also an artistic endeavor, and
should be regarded as such; since it requires that
many different factors be taken into consideration.
We design each of our clients’ residential landscapes
by combining function, form, and beauty to enhance
their own unique personality, as well as to provide
their own, distinct, “sense of Place.” Using the established
principles and elements of Landscape Design (ie. line,
proportion, scale, balance, linkage, rhythm, repetition,
sequence; etc.) we create residential landscape designs
that feature well-shaped planting beds that make the
eye flow from point to point of interest, and that
compliment both the colors and textures of the trees,
shrubs, and groundcovers, as well as the architecture
of the home. The resulting composition is intended
to reflect both the client’s ideas and the designer’s
vision, and to integrate well within its other surroundings.
